Cleaning your fly line is very important especially when fishing saltwater. Simply pull line off your reel into a clean bucket or tub of freshwater. Put roughly 1oz or more of Cortland’s Line Cleaner solution onto a clean rag or towel. Firmly squeeze the towel with Pro Line Cleaner around the line and slowly pull line through the towel. You should be able to see dirt or discolored streaks on the towel when finished.

Great product

Shipping was on time and product performance is excellent. There is a very noticeable difference in casting ability comparing this to other brand lines. Will be using Cortland line from here on out for sure.

444 Peach

This is my favorite line for my soft action fly rods; i.e. fiberglass and bamboo. It remains supple in cold water so during early spring fishing my line doesn't act like it's bee starched. I also like that it's one color. I'm not a fan of this new trend of multi colored line. I know when I'm out 30' I don't need my fly line to tell me.

Cortland 444 was the first fly line I ever bought. That was in the late 70's. I just retired it last year.

And, it's good for more than just trout

Recently I've rediscovered fiberglass rods. The "Peach" is perfect for my 6, 7, and 8 weight glass rods. The extra weight beyond 30 feet of line really helps make longer casts with the glass rods so much easier. We are seeing huge number of "...new" lines coming on the market, especially the "...long belly" versions. In reality a double taper line is the ultimate long belly. Few of us are going to make longer than 60 foot casts with a single hand rod in fresh water, so why not reap the advantages of this line and still get the same results as the long belly line.

My Favorite Trout Fly Line

The 444 Peach Double Taper fly line is good quality and good value. I cut mine in half, thus getting two lines for the price of one. Almost all of my trout fishing is done with casts of less than 30 feet, so there is no point in having 90 feet of fly line on the reel. I can either load two reels with the two halves of the line, or store one half until the half that I'm using wears out.

The 444 Peach Double Taper lines are well within the AFTMA standards, so the 4 weight is really a 4 weight, the 5 weight is really a 5 weight, etc., unlike some fly lines that are heavier than advertised.

One of the Best Double Tapers Availablr

Awesome line!

This line has been around for many decades and has stood the test of time.

It’s has not changed because it doesn’t have to.

It has always been a go to line for trout fishing.

I use Double Taper lines for all of my trout fishing in 3-6 weight.

Try one and see for yourself.

Peach Fly Line

Have used this line for many years. It is especially nice on my older bamboo rods.
