Go deep quick

This line did wonders on the Rio Limay in Patagonia, Argentina. You need to get down quick if want to challenge the big silver browns and this line does not disappoint. Only issue I had was the line memory needed addressing all too often.

Streamer fanatic must have!

Ran this line (8wt) during my recent White River, AR trip. Such a great product, sink rate is perfect for the high flows and can throw a large (8+”) streamer well. The running line is a bit stiffer than other brands similar style lines, reducing twists in the line. Nice job Cortland!

Perfect Pyramid line!

Bought the 8/9 and used it on my Pyramid setup this weekend. Orvis Helios 3D 8 weight. Worked perfectly and was able to throw a lot further. Sink rate gets it on the bottom fast which is perfect for Pyramid stripping.

Dredge the Depths with the Streamer Dredge 30

September 15th, 2025

For anglers who are serious about targeting predatory fish in the deepest, most challenging environments, the Streamer Dredge 30 is the ultimate tool. This line is specifically designed to get down to the bottom of deep rivers and lakes and stay there. Its power comes from an aggressive short taper and an over-weighted head, a design that makes loading your rod and casting heavy, water-logged streamers feel effortless. This design generates incredible line speed, giving you the ability to turn over massive flies with authority. You can confidently fish for apex predators like trout, steelhead, salmon, bass, and pike, knowing your line can handle the biggest flies required to entice them. The easy-casting nature of the line means you can make repeated, long-distance casts without fatigue, maximizing your time in the water.

The heart of the Streamer Dredge 30 lies in its powerful 30-foot, Type 8 sinking tip, meticulously designed for serious anglers. Built with our advanced Tungsten Tip Technology, this head sinks at an impressive rate of 8-8.5 inches per second, ensuring your fly gets to the bottom faster and stays there longer compared to any other line in its class. This rapid sink rate is crucial for cutting through strong currents, making it ideal for targeting fish holding in deep pockets, along ledges, or in fast-moving water where precision is key. What makes this line truly unique is its intermediate running line, a feature that significantly enhances its performance. Unlike traditional floating running lines, which can often create a belly in the line and unintentionally lift your fly out of the ideal strike zone, the slow-sinking intermediate section keeps your fly down where it needs to be throughout the entire retrieve. This design maintains a steady, deep presentation, even in varying water conditions, giving you a consistent edge. The intermediate section also provides a direct, straight-line connection from your rod tip to your fly. This not only ensures you feel every subtle movement but also allows for near-instant strike detection, a critical factor when targeting fish in deep or complex waters. Additionally, the straight-line connection creates a more lifelike, natural presentation of your streamer, mimicking prey behavior and increasing your chances of success as you retrieve. Whether you’re working through deep pools or navigating tricky ledges, the Streamer Dredge 30 is engineered to help you keep your fly in the zone and maximize every cast.

Built for reliability and performance, the Streamer Dredge 30 incorporates Cortland’s most advanced features. It is equipped with strong, secure dual-welded loops on both ends, making leader and backing connections fast, simple, and incredibly durable. The entire line is coated with our proprietary Shooting Technology (ST), which provides a glass-smooth finish for reduced friction, longer casts, and extended longevity. This all-season line performs flawlessly in a wide range of climates, featuring Cold Temperature technology to stay limp and memory-free in water from 30-50°F, and Warm Temperature technology to maintain its integrity from 50-70°F. This product is a culmination of Cortland Line Company’s century-long pursuit of perfection. Every line is proudly made in the USA, backed by over 100 years of experience and the same precision manufacturing that allows us to create advanced fibers for the aerospace and medical fields. When you need to go deep, trust the American-made quality of the Streamer Dredge 30.
