Líneas de mosca de la serie clásica

Classic Series Fly Lines

Classic Series Freshwater Fly Fishing Lines

Paying our respects to our history with the Classics Series Freshwater Fly Lines

In 1915, Cortland Line designed and manufactured the first “tapered” fly lines. Decades later in 1953, we revisited our designs and introduced the 333 fly line series. And then in 1962, we introduced the 444 series. Now, more than a full century later, our fly lines are still manufactured and hand inspected in Cortland, New York. The Classic Series pays respect to our history in many ways. The boxes that house this series of lines mimics the designs from the 1920’s and 30’s with a color scheme our grandparents and mentors remember and are surely fond of. The quintessential peach color of our 444 series is revitalized, here, in the Classic Series. The Classic Series offers a wide variety of line shape, color, density, sink rate, length, weight, species, and application. Need an intermediate line? Try the Clear Intermediate or the Clear Camo Intermediate lines. In need of something to get down deep? Choose between full sink and sink tip options with as sink rate combinations to fit any situation. Cortland, since 1915, has connected fathers to sons, mothers to daughters, grandparents to grandchildren, friends to friends, mentors to mentees and has maintained its status as the connective tissue upon which we make such meaningful relationships as fly anglers. We are proud to have been here with you since the beginning. This is our opportunity to reflect on our history. Together.
