Casts great I used it smallmouth fishing in a creek and caught 35 fish with no issues. Very nice line.

As a Guide I put my equipment through the wringer and this line takes the abuse! It's a tough, strong line. No frills or BS, just a great braid!
Great stuff for finesse smallies and even largemouth. Great for clear water Great Lakes Ned rigging. Got the tip from Travis Manson. I would have never thought of going this light (5#). But this stuff is tough.

The Travis Manson Smallmouth Crush podcast influenced me to try some light Cortland braid for my "far and fine" rig I use to toss 3/32 oz. Ned rigs. We have only had open water for 3 weekends and I'm crushing some big pre-spawns in 38-39 degree water. I can cast this 8# Master braid a mile and its been super manageable even with air temps in the 20's. So far I love this line more than any other braid I've used. I'm switching out all my Musky reels this summer to Cortland as well. Good stuff. Made in the US! I'm on board!!! Bought some blue to take to Hawaii in a couple months.

I have used the 15lb for redfish and the 10lb for speckled trout now for a season and love it! Casts far, very sensitive, and very strong. Have landed so many overslot fish on it and never had a break off. I will definitely continue to use this line exclusively on my boat.

To avoid repeating myself, I'd like to share my review of Cortland Mater Braid Yellow. I strongly believe that all the Cortland Master Braid Colors I have used (Green, Yellow, White, Silent Flip), and even the ones I haven't used, deserve an equally high rating.
Use white,yellow and blue on deck and board rods.Little pricey but worth it.Excellent in Chesapeake Bay !
Best braided line on the market hands down. Th 10,,15,20 is all you need even pulling them out of thick vegetation I’ve been in some sketchy grass with only 10lb braid on my reel and never once broke off a bait on cortland, I’ve ripped out entire tree limbs trying to get my bait out of trees, the mine just doesn’t break. And it feels so good in your hands, a lot of braid feels flat- and although the diameter may be small. It feels thick, it’s just strong and a huge confidence booster. I’ll never go back it even suffix 832

I like it. Holds my fg knot nice. and casts far. The only downside is when im using a moving bait the line makes a noise going through the guides.
I bought some of the 8lb to see what I thought. About to buy a 1000 yard spool. I like a rougher braid because I believe it holds a leader knot to fluorocarbon better opposed to the slick braided lines on the market. The thin diameter casts super far, and the white color is surprisingly the most invisible color in the crystal clear New York waters of the Lake Champlain Valley where I fish. I would love to see a 6lb test line come out for my more finesse and lighter line applications.

My brother turned my on to Cortland Master Braid last year and I have to say that I have been extremely pleased with its performance. I fish the flats and inshore area around the Pensacola area for reds, Triple Tail, Cobia, Trout and others. Cortland braid has not disappointed! Casting performance is second to none, especially in windy conditions.
