Knew nothing about Cortalnd Master Braid until hearing a firsthand experience at an angler club meeting. Thought I would give it a try and see if what I heard was true. (Strong & Smooth) Pretty much the case. Will be slowing changing all of my reels over to Courtand Master over the coming months.

I bought some of the 8lb to see what I thought. About to buy a 1000 yard spool. I like a rougher braid because I believe it holds a leader knot to fluorocarbon better opposed to the slick braided lines on the market. The thin diameter casts super far, and the white color is surprisingly the most invisible color in the crystal clear New York waters of the Lake Champlain Valley where I fish. I would love to see a 6lb test line come out for my more finesse and lighter line applications.
I work as a guide in southeast Alaska where we tend to go through a LOT of braid. Moss Green 30lb has been a game changer on freshwater and I’m not looking back!
This braid is very very slick!!! Casts great!!! I have the 8lb test and will prob get the 10lb next!!!
Fished all day with no fray
I'm impressed with the Master Braid for Bass fishing heavy cover, and making long accurate casts. I find it smoother casting than powerpro and powerpro V2 X8. While the X8 is a good line, it does take some break in to work well, and that is a pain. I found no break in needed with masterbraid, and it seems to be more abrasion resistant than the 8 strand line in some of the heavy grass and weeds I fish this time of year. I was cutting a lot of line out of the PP, but so far the Master Braid has been flawless.
