A high-floating head supports line control while stripping streamers, fishing along banks, or mousing at night. The 16 ft body and short 3 ft front taper concentrate weight toward the front of the line, while the olive and green transition identifies the loading point. Shooting Technology reduces friction through the guides for smooth, consistent casting.

I got the 6wt for trout. It puts some pretty big flys out there. I fish mostly small streams, and this line is perfect for me. Got this smallmouth first time out with it on a crayfish pattern

This line is sweet casting. I spoiled it on my two handed 7 weight and I can send larger streamers a good distance without having to wade closer.

Second time I’ve ordered this streamer line. It tangles like crazy. Seems like every cortland line I’ve ordered comes twisted.
Great line for bulkier flies.
Casts okay. Might be better once I get use to it. Just seemed like old memory coil line especially the running line part. Maybe I might have to find some line conditioner to get the kinks out of it. Other than that it should be okay. I'm casting from shore for stocker rainbow sometimes a guy needs that little extra distance on the pond while there is limited back cast room.

This line is similar in color and style to older model Cortland lines I used to buy (WF-8). It casts nice and goes through the guides well. My only gripe is that Cortland lines used to come with a pamphlet that showed how to tie the essential knots (albright, nail, blood, surgeon's, etc.) but this box of line didn't have that. Also, Cortland lines used to come with a cleaning pad with floatant in it, and this box of line didn't have that either. Please consider adding these items back into the line box, especially the knot guide. Thanks. JOE
Loop broke within first 3-4 hours of fishing for the first time.
Good over all line. I have used for 2 seasons now. Seems to hold up well.
