FAQ

Cleaning your fly line is very important especially when fishing saltwater. Simply pull line off your reel into a clean bucket or tub of freshwater. Put roughly 1oz or more of Cortland’s Line Cleaner solution onto a clean rag or towel. Firmly squeeze the towel with Pro Line Cleaner around the line and slowly pull line through the towel. You should be able to see dirt or discolored streaks on the towel when finished.

The best line!

Downright the best line out there. Have been using these since they came out. Literally improve the performance of my rods. Love the thinner diameter and the color of these line. The castability is outstanding! Smooth, supple and just so good. The best line out there regardless of price. Graphite, fiberglass or bamboo, this line is the one.

Made for a Bamboo Fly Rod.

I love the 444 Silk DT fly line. A friend recommended your line for my bamboo rod I had just built. He was not wrong. It's unbelievable how smooth the line casts.

Just what I was hoping for!

I fish several bamboo rods and the Sylk lines fish extremely well. I purchased two a 5 and a 6 weight double taper and they are a wonderful complement to my bamboo rods. They cast well, smooth and silky. They are a delight! I anticipate they will cast well with my glass and graphite rods as well.

Smooth as silk

In the air, on the water, it duplicates silk - the preferred line for use on a fine cane rod - without the very high cost, risk of rot, and continual maintenance with non-silicone mucilin and need to dry after every use. Give me Sylk over silk. Thank you Cortland.
