Nymph Series Fly Rods - European Style Nymphing

Cortland’s Nymph series fly rods were specifically designed for modern nymphing techniques. Built on a super light graphite blank which dampens and recovers quickly for exceptional feel. The low reflective, matte black finish allows for an extremely stealthy approach while providing an addition layer of protection. The down-locking reel seat combined with the composite fighting butt allows for exceptional balance and fast hook sets. Nymph Series fly rods feature over-sized light wire single foot guides for easier passage of fly line, monofilament and knots. All ferrules and guides are coated with highly durable epoxy, resisting cracks, flex stress and excessive knots. Finished with alignment dots, size specific rod bags and a protective cordura rod tube.

Great rod ,awesome sensitivity in the tip.

This rod is very responsive when setting the hook. E ven soft takes will be noted in the tips immediate reaction making for many successful hook ups that may be missed with other rods.

More than a Euro rod

The action of this rod is superb for Euro type nymphimg. But it does not end there. I have matched the 10.5' #2 with a DT 3 444 floating line. The match is perfect for single hand spey casts to swing wet flies. From Euro nymphing to tactical nymphing with a micro indicator, to swinging wet flies, this rod gets it done.

Good Euro rod, upgrade!

This is replacing my original Cortland Competition Rod. There is a noticeable difference. I like the reduced rod tip vibration, down locking reel and it seems lighter.

Nymph rod 10’6” 3 weight

I like this rod better than any rod I own, which is quite a few. I bought t at a local fly shop in PA where I live in January 2023. It has been a pleasure to fish with, the most important aspect for me is the rods ability handle fish from 12” to 24” with ease while still having the sensitivity to detect very subtle bites from smaller trout.

I would consider myself as a better than average amateur angler! I have never guided for money, but have introduced many people to fly fishing.

Very pleased!

Definitely recommend!

Fantastic rod

This is a great place to start for any experience level. I got this 10.5 4wt to replace a bean rod that couldn't cut it. So far this rod has been a monster, including handling some really nice inland browns with ease.

I can't say enough on feel, balance, and overall quality of this rod for the price. The finishing touches on the build make it a pleasure to look at too.

While "Nymph" is the name, I've also found a lot of versatility in it. This thing is a cannon for casting dry flies.
